Navigate to a Property

  1. From the Canvass map, tap on the property pin where you want to create a lead.

  2. The Property Details sheet will open at the bottom of the screen.

Select a Disposition

  1. In the Property Details sheet, select a disposition that is configured to create an account (e.g., a pitch or lead disposition).

  2. The disposition determines the account status for the new lead and which fields are required.

Choose a Primary Resident

  1. If the property already has residents on file, you will see a list of existing residents.

  2. Select the correct homeowner from the list to use as the primary resident for the lead.

Add a New Resident (If Needed)

If the correct homeowner is not listed, tap "Add Resident" and fill in the following fields:

  • First Name (required based on disposition)

  • Last Name (required based on disposition)

  • Phone β€” formatted as (###) ###-#### (required based on disposition)

  • Secondary Phone (optional)

  • Email Address (required based on company settings and disposition)

  • Business Name (optional)

Which fields are required depends on the selected disposition's account status requirements and your company's configuration.

Add a Note (Optional)

You can add an optional note to include any additional context or details about the lead.

Create the Lead

  1. Tap "Create" in the top-right corner.

  2. The lead/resident account is created and the app returns to the property view on the Canvass map.

What Happens After Creation

  • The property pin on the Canvass map updates to reflect the new disposition status, color, and icon.

  • The lead appears in the property's contact history.

  • If your company uses an external CRM (such as Salesforce or JobNimbus), the lead is automatically queued for sync.

  • If the disposition is configured to schedule an appointment, the appointment scheduling flow will open automatically.
