Accessing the Add Missing Property Feature
Option 1: Via More Options Menu
From the main Canvass screen, tap the More Options menu (three dots) in the top-right corner
Tap "Add Missing Property"
Option 2: Via Map Shortcut
First enable the shortcut:
From Canvass, tap the More Options menu (three dots)
Tap "Settings"
Under "Map Shortcuts", tap "Add Location Shortcut" to enable it
Return to Canvass
Then use the shortcut:
Tap the Add Location icon (location pin with plus) on the left side of the screen
Positioning and Adding the Property
A red circle with a plus sign appears in the center of your screen marking where the pin will be placed
Move the map by dragging and zoom in/out to position the target property directly under the red circle
Once positioned, tap the "Add" button at the bottom of the screen
Tap "Cancel" if you want to abort
Completing Property Details
Depending on your company's settings, one of the following will happen:
Quick Add Enabled
The property is added immediately using automatic address detection. No form is required. This is the only method for some companies due to company policy.
Standard Add
You'll be taken to a form to confirm or edit the property details:
Address
City
State
Postal Code
Country
The system will attempt to pre-fill these fields based on the location. Make any corrections needed and tap "Add" in the top-right corner to save.
