Task Management Overview (Web)

The Task Management section provides a centralized view of all tasks across your organization. Monitor task completion, track progress, and manage assignments in one place.

Accessing Task Management

  1. Go to app.terros.com

  2. Click Task Management from the left sidebar

Note: You need task management permissions to access this section.

Task Management Dashboard

The dashboard displays all tasks with powerful filtering and bulk action capabilities.

Task Table

View all tasks with the following information:

  • Subject - The task title or name

  • Owner - Who the task is assigned to

  • From - Who created or assigned the task

  • Status - Current task status (Created, Submitted, Completed, Rejected)

  • Program - Associated program (if applicable)

  • Type - Category of task

  • Due Date - When the task is due

  • Priority - Importance level of the task

  • Progress - Completion percentage for criteria-based tasks Click any task row to view full details.

Filtering Tasks

Use the filters to find specific tasks:

Date Range

Use the date picker to filter tasks by:

  • When they were created

  • When they're due

  • Custom date range

Filter Options

Click the Filters button to access: Teams - Filter by specific teams Owners - Filter by who the task is assigned to From - Filter by who created the task Programs - Filter by associated program Status - Filter by task status:

  • Created - Task has been assigned

  • Submitted - Task completed and awaiting review

  • Completed - Task approved and finished

  • Rejected - Task was not accepted

Criteria Types - Filter by task requirements (pitches, leads, installs, etc.)

Quick Filters

  • Search - Type in the filter box to search task subjects and descriptions

  • Show archived tasks - Toggle to include tasks that have been archived

Active Filters

Active filters appear as chips below the filter bar. Click the X on any chip to remove that filter.

Bulk Actions

Select multiple tasks using the checkboxes to perform bulk operations:

Update Status

  1. Select tasks using checkboxes

  2. Click Update Status

  3. Choose the new status

  4. Click Update

All selected tasks will be updated to the chosen status.

Archive Tasks

  1. Select tasks using checkboxes

  2. Click Archive Tasks

  3. Confirm the action

Archived tasks are removed from the active list but can be viewed by toggling "Show archived tasks." The selection counter shows how many tasks are selected out of the total.

Task Statuses Explained

  • Created - Task has been assigned to a user but not yet started or submitted

  • Submitted - User has completed the task and submitted it for review

  • Completed - Task has been reviewed and approved as finished

  • Rejected - Task was submitted but not accepted, may need to be redone

Understanding Task Types

Tasks can be generated from various sources:

  • Program Tasks - Automatically created from training programs

  • Manager Tasks - Manually assigned by managers

  • Criteria-Based Tasks - Tasks with specific completion requirements (e.g., "Complete 5 pitches")

  • Required Tasks - Tasks that must be completed by the due date

Task Progress

For criteria-based tasks, progress shows how much of the requirement has been completed:

  • "2/5 Pitches" means 2 out of 5 required pitches completed

  • Progress updates automatically as the user completes the criteria

  • 100% progress means all requirements met

Best Practices

  • Review regularly - Check the task list daily to monitor team progress

  • Use date filters - Focus on overdue or upcoming tasks

  • Filter by team - Monitor specific team performance

  • Bulk update completed tasks - Quickly approve multiple submitted tasks at once

  • Track criteria progress - Monitor progress on quantitative tasks

  • Archive old tasks - Keep the list focused on active work

  • Communicate with task owners - Follow up on overdue or rejected tasks

Troubleshooting

Can't see any tasks

Check your filters. You may have active filters hiding tasks. Clear all filters to see everything.

Task count seems wrong

Make sure "Show archived tasks" is off if you only want to see active tasks.

Can't update task status

Verify you have task management permissions. Some task types may have restrictions on who can update them.

Bulk actions not working

Ensure you've selected tasks using the checkboxes. The bulk action buttons are disabled when no tasks are selected.

Tasks not updating

Try refreshing the page using the refresh button in the header. Task updates should appear in real-time.

Missing tasks from a program

Check if the program tasks have been generated. Tasks may not appear until the program creates them.
