Reset Password Button (Web)

Learn how admins can send password reset emails to users from the web application.

Overview

The Reset Password button allows admins to send a password reset email to any user in their company. This feature is only available on the web application and only appears when the company does not use Single Sign-On (SSO).

Where to Find It

Navigate to the user's profile page: Users β†’ Select a user.

The Reset Password button appears in the header next to the Edit button.

How to Use It

Click the "Reset Password" button on the user's profile page.

A confirmation modal will appear asking: "Are you sure you want to send a password reset email to [user name]?"

Click Confirm to send the email.

A success notification will appear confirming the password reset email has been sent.

The user will receive an email with instructions to reset their password.

Requirements

Permission: You must have the user:manage permission for the user.

SSO: This button only appears if your company does not use Single Sign-On (SSO). If your company uses SSO, password management is handled through your identity provider.
