What Are Tags?
Tags are labels that can be applied to an account to document activity, status updates, or other relevant information.
Key Difference:
Actions move an account to a different stage.
Tags record information while keeping the account in its current stage.
Tags work similarly to actions—they can be applied with a tap and removed if needed—but they do not affect the account's workflow stage.
Creating a Custom Tag
To create a custom tag from Canvas:
Select the pin for the individual user.
Click the three dots menu.
Select Edit Tags.
Click Add Tag.
Enter the tag details:
Tag Label – The name of the tag.
Color – Choose a color to help identify the tag.
Icon – Select an icon that best represents the tag.
Click Save.
Once saved, the custom tag will be added for that individual representative to use.
Applying a Tag
To apply a tag to an account:
Open the account you want to update.
Locate the available tags.
Tap the desired tag.
The tag will be applied immediately.
The account will remain in its current stage.
Removing a Tag
If a tag was applied by mistake:
Tap the tag again or select Undo (if available).
The tag will be removed from the account.
The account's stage will remain unchanged.
Example
A customer has confirmed their appointment, but the account should remain in the current follow-up stage.
Instead of using an action that moves the account, apply an appropriate tag. This records the activity while allowing the account to stay in its current stage until additional work is completed.
Best Practices
Use clear, descriptive tag labels.
Select colors and icons that make tags easy to identify at a glance.
Use tags to document important account activity without affecting workflow progression.
Avoid creating duplicate tags with similar meanings.
Remove tags that were applied accidentally.
Summary
Tags provide a simple and effective way to track account activity and important updates within the Terros mobile app. By creating and applying meaningful tags, representatives can organize interactions, maintain accurate account records, and capture valuable information while keeping accounts in their current workflow stage.
