Overview
Open the Terros app and tap Canvass in the bottom navigation bar to open the live map.
The Canvass screen is built around the map itself. Property pins, clusters, and overlays appear directly on the map, while the main controls float above it so you can search, filter, and adjust what you are viewing without leaving the screen.

Search
The magnifying glass in the top-right corner opens Canvass search so you can look up an address, place, or saved result and jump the map to that location.

The tools button in the top-right corner opens the Canvass tools menu. Depending on your permissions and current mode, this menu can include actions such as:

Activity Summary
Near the top-right side of the map, you may see an Active badge. This reflects current daily activity information for the map.

The location arrow control changes how the map follows your position. It can be used to center the map around your current location and adjust tracking behavior.
Daily Stats
The stats control opens daily canvassing stats for the current view.
Layers
The Layers control lets you choose which map layers are visible. The layer menu can include:
Autoselect
Customers
Pins
Parcel Boundary
Area Assignments
Solar Coverage
If pins or overlays seem to disappear, check the Layers menu first.
Filters
The Filter control opens the main Canvass filter sheet. The current iOS version supports:

Properties and Sales Activity filter modes
Quick filters
Standard filters
Filter options can vary based on company setup, entitlements, and the type of data available in the current market.
Map Content
The map shows homes, properties, and account activity as pins or pin clusters. At wider zoom levels, nearby pins may combine into grouped counts. As you zoom in, the map reveals more individual locations and detail.
The current iOS Canvass view also supports layer-based overlays such as customers, parcel boundaries, area assignments, and solar coverage when those layers are enabled.
Bottom Navigation
The bottom navigation stays visible while you are in Canvass. In the current iPhone build, it includes:
Home
Calendar

Things to Know
Some controls and menu options are conditional and may change based on permissions, company configuration, and whether you are actively drawing, managing areas, or working offline.
Filter options can vary depending on the type of data available in your market.
