What Pins Show
Pins help you see where properties are on the map. A pin may show a color, icon, initials, label, or blank marker depending on your Canvass settings, workflow stage, assignment view, or last activity view.
Because pin appearance can change by mode, do not rely on one color alone. Use the pin location, the selected display mode, and the details sheet to understand what the pin represents.
Open a Pin
1. Open Canvass.
2. Find the property or location on the map.
3. Tap the pin.
On iPhone, the location details open in a sheet from the bottom of the screen. You can drag the sheet higher to see more details or close it when you are finished.
If more than one nearby location matches your tap, Terros may ask you to choose the correct location first. Use the list, search, or sort options to find the right resident, address, status, or note.
Review Location Details
The details sheet can include different sections depending on the property, your company settings, and your access. Common sections include:
Tags and property chips
Workflow actions or disposition options
Possible residents and prescreen actions, when available
Events
Notes
Owner or account assignment details
Custom fields
Contact history, for legacy disposition workflows
Property Details, including built year, home size, lot size, pool, occupancy, and last sold date when available
Permit and lien information, when available
Location ID
If a property is restricted, such as a Do Not Knock location, the sheet may show a warning and limit the actions you can take.
Take Action From a Pin
Use the location sheet to continue your work without leaving Canvass. Depending on the location and available contact information, you may be able to:
Mark a disposition/workflow action
Call, text, or email a contact
Add a new event
Get directions
Share the location
Copy the link, address, location ID, or resident name
Some custom locations may also show a Delete Location action. Terros only shows that option when the location can be deleted.
Add or Remove Tags
If your company uses workflow tags, the details sheet can show a Tag chip near the top. Tap Tag to add a tag to the location. Tap an existing tag if you need to remove it.
Events and Notes
The Events section shows scheduled activity for the location. Tap an event to review or edit it.
The Notes section shows notes connected to the selected account or location workflow. Use notes to keep important context with the property for future visits.
