Understanding What Each Metric Means (iOS)

Stats in the iPhone app help you understand activity, account progress, appointments, goals, and other performance results. The exact metrics you see can vary by company, workflow, role, team, and permissions.

Where to find metrics

You can open metrics from Stats if it is available in your app navigation.

You may also see a Stats tab on a user profile when your account has permission to view that user's stats.

Why your metrics may look different from someone else's

The Stats page and profile dashboards are configured for your company. That means your app may show a different set of columns, dashboards, widgets, or metric names than another user.

The numbers you see can depend on:

  • The selected date range

  • The selected team

  • Whether the table is grouped by user, team, company, or another available view

  • Which columns are selected

  • Any advanced filters that are turned on

  • Your permissions

  • Your company's workflows, stages, dashboards, and custom fields

Common metric types

Activity metrics

Activity metrics usually track field work and logged interactions, such as contacts, pitches, knocks, calls, conversations, days worked, or hours worked.

These metrics are useful for understanding activity volume and consistency over a selected period.

Account metrics

Account metrics usually track account movement, such as leads, appointments, sits, closes, approvals, installs, archived accounts, or workflow stage changes.

Some account metrics may be role-specific. For example, a setter view may count accounts where you are the setter, while a closer view may count accounts where you are the closer.

Event metrics

Event metrics usually track calendar activity, appointments, meetings, shadows, interviews, or other scheduled events.

These metrics can help you understand what was scheduled, completed, rescheduled, or still upcoming.

Goal and plan metrics

Goal and plan metrics compare actual activity against a target. You may see progress toward weekly or quarterly goals, pacing, or plan-related activity.

Program and task metrics

Program and task metrics can show completion, scorecard, task, or program progress when your company uses those features.

Custom metrics

Your company may configure custom metrics, custom fields, or workflow-specific reporting columns. If you do not recognize a metric name, check with your manager or admin for how your company defines it.

How calculations work

Counts

Counts show how many times something happened during the selected date range. Examples include total pitches, leads, sits, closes, completed tasks, or events.

Averages

Averages divide activity across the relevant period or activity set. Some averages are based on working days or recorded activity rather than calendar days.

Dates and times

Date and time metrics show when something happened, such as the most recent activity date, first activity of the day, or last activity of the day.

Ratios and conversion rates

Ratios compare one metric to another. For example, a close rate may compare closes to leads or sits, depending on your company's setup.

Some ratios are easier to read as percentages, while others may appear as efficiency ratios such as an "X to 1" format.

Change what you are viewing

On the Stats page, tap the table settings button to adjust the report.

From Table Settings, you can use options such as:

  • Columns to choose which metrics appear

  • Date to change the reporting period

  • Team to focus the report on a team

  • View By to change how results are grouped

  • Pin Yourself when viewing by user

  • Advanced Filters to filter values in visible columns

  • Refresh Data to reload the report

The summary bar at the top of Stats shows the current grouping, date range, selected columns, team, filters, and pinned status when those options apply.

Dashboard widgets

Profile dashboards can show metrics in several formats:

  • A single number

  • A gauge

  • A table

  • A leaderboard

  • A line chart

If a dashboard widget has no metrics configured, the app shows No metrics configured for this widget.

If a dashboard has no widgets, the app shows No Widgets.

If no mobile dashboards are available for a user, the app shows No Mobile Dashboards.

Why a number may be blank or zero

A metric may be blank, zero, or unavailable when:

  • There is no activity in the selected date range

  • The selected team or user has no matching data

  • The metric depends on another value that is zero

  • A filter is hiding the rows you expected to see

  • The metric is not configured for your company or workflow

  • You do not have permission to view that data

Troubleshooting metric questions

If a metric looks wrong, try these steps:

1. Check the selected Date range.

2. Check the selected Team.

3. Review Columns to make sure the metric you need is selected.

4. Open Advanced Filters and clear any filters that may be hiding results.

5. Tap Refresh Data.

If the number still does not look right, contact your manager or support contact with the metric name, date range, team, and any filters you were using.
