Compete lets you challenge teammates on sales metrics through Leaderboard, Bracket, and Raffle competitions.
What Are Competitions?
Competitions let you set up challenges based on scoring metrics your company tracks, then invite individuals or teams to compete for prizes. Terros supports three competition types:
Leaderboard — participants are ranked by points earned from selected metrics. Best for ongoing or short-to-medium competitions.
Bracket — a single-elimination tournament where participants compete head-to-head, with an optional seeding round to set the bracket. Needs at least 4 participants.
Raffle — participants earn entries by hitting activity thresholds, and winners are drawn at random at the end.
Create a Competition
Open Compete (trophy icon).
Tap New Competition in the toolbar. This button only appears if you have permission to create competitions.
Enter a competition name, choose a type (Leaderboard, Bracket, or Raffle), and set a start date.
Tap Create.
Your competition is created as a draft, and a setup checklist opens automatically.
Set Up Your Competition
The setup screen shows a progress ring and a checklist of sections. Required sections must be completed before you can announce the competition; others are optional. Tap any section to edit it.
Participants (required) — choose individuals or teams, and add them.
Bracket Setup (required for Bracket only) — choose a bracket size and seeding method.
Scoring Metrics or Entry Criteria (required) — choose what earns points or entries.
Prizes (optional) — add prizes for each place.
Schedule (optional) — review the competition's start and end dates.
Details (optional) — add a tagline, description, and fallback color.
Participants
Choose Individuals or Teams as the participant type. Switching types after adding participants removes the current list, so you'll be asked to confirm.
For teams, choose how team scores are calculated: Sum (adds every member's points) or Average (uses average points per member so team size doesn't affect the score).
Add individuals directly, or add a team by selecting members from an existing team.
Leaderboard and Raffle competitions need at least 2 participants. Bracket competitions need at least 4.
Bracket Setup
Only shown for Bracket competitions.
Choose a bracket size (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 participants). Terros recommends a size based on your current participant count.
Choose a seeding method: Random assigns bracket positions when the competition begins, or Standard Preliminary Round ranks participants during a scoring window before the bracket starts (you'll set separate seeding criteria for this).
Choose the time between rounds (1 day up to 2 weeks).
Scoring Metrics / Entry Criteria
Add metrics that earn points (Leaderboard/Bracket) or raffle entries (Raffle). Each metric has its own point or entry value.
You can add a boost multiplier that increases points earned on specific days of the week.
For Leaderboard and Bracket competitions, add tiebreaker metrics to decide ties, in priority order.
Prizes
Add one or more prizes to each place, with a name, optional description, and optional image.
A place with no prize is flagged as needing attention.
Schedule
Set the start and end date. The competition's duration is calculated automatically.
Choose when to announce the competition to participants: when it starts, 1/3/7 days before, or a custom date.
For Bracket competitions, each round gets its own start and end date, generated automatically from your settings. You can adjust individual round dates here; changing participants, bracket settings, or the start date will regenerate them.

Add an optional tagline and description.
Choose a fallback color, used if no cover image is set.
Announce Your Competition
While a competition is still a draft, a bar at the bottom of the setup screen shows how many required steps are left. Once every required section is complete, tap Announce Competition to notify participants and make the competition visible to them.
View and Manage Competitions
The Compete screen groups competitions into Current, Upcoming, and Past. Tap a competition to open it.
An announced competition has three tabs:
Current — shows the live view for its type: rankings for Leaderboard, the current match and bracket grid for Bracket, or the active leaderboard for Raffle.
Details — shows the competition type, status, dates, scoring/entry criteria, tiebreakers, and any terms.
Prizes — shows the prizes configured for each place.
For a Raffle competition that has ended, the owner sees a Draw Winners button to randomly draw and reveal winners from qualified entries. Other participants see the results once winners are drawn.
Depending on the competition's status, you may also have options (from the More menu) to convert a published competition back to a draft, cancel it, end it early, or delete a draft.
Things to Know
The New Competition button only appears if your account has permission to create competitions.
Minimum participants: 2 for Leaderboard and Raffle, 4 for Bracket.
Available scoring metrics depend on your company's Terros configuration.
