Custom Tasks (iOS)

How to find, understand, and complete assigned tasks in the Terros iOS app, including how managers can request a recorded conversation.

Written by Hunter Allred

Tasks are action items assigned to you in Terros — things like confirming an appointment outcome, submitting a plan, or completing a manager request. This article covers how to find, understand, and complete your tasks in the iOS app.

Where to Find Your Tasks

Your most urgent tasks appear as a preview on the Home tab. Tap View All from that preview (or open Tasks from Home) to see your full task list.

The full Tasks list groups items under Up Next, then by due date, with a row of filter pills at the top — All, Open, Incomplete, and Complete — so you can narrow the list down to what you need.

Task Types You Might See

Tasks can come from a few different places:

  • Requests from your manager (for example, a recorded conversation request)

  • Program requirements (tasks tied to a specific onboarding or training program)

  • Terros system tasks — plan submissions and reviews, closer availability updates, appointment/event outcome confirmations, shadow day confirmations, activity and milestone reminders, and similar prompts

Each task shows a status pill (Overdue, Due Soon, Due Today, Open, Completed, Missed, etc.) and, if the task is required, a red Required pill.

Completing a Task

Tap a task to act on it. What happens next depends on the task:

  • Question-style tasks open a short screen where you choose an answer or enter a response.

  • Video tasks (like reviewing training content) open the video player; the task completes when you finish watching.

  • External link tasks ask you to confirm before opening a link outside Terros, then can complete automatically once you open it.

  • Tasks tied to a specific record (an account, appointment, or plan) take you directly to that screen so you can take the needed action there.

Some tasks can be closed without any of the above — for those, tapping the task opens a menu with Mark Complete, and if the task allows it, Decline or Snooze for 3 Days.

If a task isn't yet supported in the current version of the app, it's shown dimmed with a Coming Soon pill and can't be opened yet.

Requesting a Recording From a Team Member

If you're a manager, open a team member's profile and tap the microphone button near their name to request a recorded conversation from them. They'll receive a required task asking them to record and submit a conversation.

Things to Know

  • Required tasks that are still open may temporarily limit which parts of the app you can use until they're completed — Home, Search, and Messaging always stay available.

  • Snoozing a task pushes it 3 days out; it will reappear as open once the snooze period ends.
