Why New Developments May Not Show Up
Satellite view in Terros is powered by Apple Maps imagery. Apple sources and refreshes this imagery on its own schedule, so newly built homes, subdivisions, or other recent changes may not appear right away. How current the imagery is depends on the area and isn't something Terros controls.
Switch to Street View
If Satellite view looks outdated for an area you're canvassing:
Open Settings.
Under Canvass, tap Map Style.
Choose Street.
Street view shows current roads, labels, and property boundaries, and tends to be refreshed more often than satellite imagery, so it can help you navigate to newer construction even when Satellite view hasn't caught up.
Why This Happens
Map imagery providers like Apple prioritize which areas to re-photograph and republish based on factors such as population density and growth. That means:
Fast-growing or high-density areas tend to get refreshed more often.
Rural or slower-growing areas may show older imagery for longer.
The refresh schedule is entirely up to the map provider, not Terros.
What Terros Can't Control
Terros doesn't generate or host its own satellite imagery — it displays whatever Apple Maps currently provides for a given location. When Apple updates the imagery for an area, the change will show up automatically in Terros the next time the map loads that area.
Practical Tip
If you're canvassing a new development that isn't showing up correctly in Satellite view:
Switch to Street view to see current roads and property layout.
Confirm the property in person before finalizing your route.
