Getting Started with the Terros App (iOS)

How to download the Terros iPhone app, keep it up to date, and find your way around the tab bar and feature groups.

Written by Hunter Allred

Terros is built mobile-first, so most of what you need for the field lives right in the iPhone app. Here's how to get it installed, keep it up to date, and find your way around.

Download the app

You can download Terros from the Apple App Store. Search for "Terros" or use your invite link from your manager or admin.

Supported devices

The app is optimized for iPhone and also runs on iPad. It requires iOS 17 or later but is recommended to have iOS 26 or later for the best performance.
Terros is not available as a native Mac app.

Keeping the app up to date

Terros checks for a newer version each time you open the app. Depending on what it finds, you may see a full-screen prompt:

  • An update is required — you must update before continuing. Tap Install Update to go to the App Store.

  • An update is available — an update exists but isn't required yet. You can tap Install Update to update now, or Not Now to keep using the current version.

There is no separate in-app patch download step — all updates are installed through the App Store.

Finding your way around

The app uses a tab bar at the bottom of the screen:

  • Home is always the first tab.

  • Up to three of your favorite features are pinned as their own tabs — Canvass and Calendar are pinned by default.

  • Search is always available so you can jump to any feature by name.

Everything else is organized into groups — Work, People & Places, Performance, and Tools — which you can reach from the customize/more area of the tab bar. On iPad, these groups appear in a sidebar alongside your pinned tabs.

You can change which tabs are pinned at any time; look for the customize option in your tab bar.

Checking your app version

Open Settings and scroll to the App Info section to see your App Version, Build Number, and other build details. This is helpful information to have on hand if you ever contact support.
