Where to Find the Recorder
Recorder is part of the Terros app itself — there's no separate app to download. Open the Recorder item (microphone icon) from the app's navigation. The Record button also appears in the top-right of the Recorder screen.
Recording requires Microphone and Location permission. If either hasn't been granted, Terros shows an alert prompting you to enable it in Settings.
Recording a Conversation
Tap the record button to start. What happens next depends on your account:
AI-connected recording — the recorder connects automatically ("Connecting…"), then starts. When you stop, the conversation is transcribed and scored against your team's rubric.
Manual recording — the conversation records locally on your device. When you stop, review the recording, then tap Submit to upload it (or Discard to delete it).
Conversations, Coaching, and Skill Share Tabs
The Recorder screen has three tabs:
Conversations — your own recorded conversations.
Coaching — conversations assigned to you to review.
Skill Share — conversations your team has shared for learning, organized by category.
Reviewing an AI-Recorded Conversation
Open a conversation to see two tabs:
AI Insights — score summary, notes, AI feedback (tap Show More for additional feedback), and a scoring breakdown by rubric category.
Transcript — a line-by-line transcript synced to playback. Tap any line to jump the recording to that moment. If you're the assignee or a manager, you can add timestamped feedback while listening.
Depending on your role in the conversation, you'll also see:
Self Assess (owner, once the conversation is graded) — score yourself against the same rubric.
Submit for Review (owner, if no one is assigned yet) — pick a manager to review the pitch.
Grade Conversation (assignee) — score the conversation against the rubric and leave an overall comment.
Add to Skill Share (assignee) — tag specific rubric categories to feature the conversation for the team.
Reviewing a Manually Recorded Conversation
Manually recorded conversations use a simpler layout instead of the AI Insights/Transcript tabs: conversation date, location, a rubric score and review comment (once reviewed), and the assigned reviewer. The same Self Assess, Submit for Review, Grade Conversation, and Add to Skill Share actions are available based on your role.
Things to Know
Recorder is available on both iPhone and iPad.
Whether you get AI-connected recording or manual recording depends on your account's settings — this isn't something you switch on yourself in the app.
Recorder needs Microphone and Location access to work. You can grant or fix these from the alert Terros shows, which links directly to Settings.
