Written by Hunter Allred

When to Use This

Use this method when you're:

  • Knocking doors and talking to customers

  • At a property on the map

  • Completing a disposition that needs follow-up

This is the fastest way to schedule appointments in the field.

Quick Steps

  1. Open a property on the map

  2. Complete your disposition

  3. Tap "Schedule Event" when prompted

  4. Choose "Closer Calendar" or "Personal Comeback"

  5. Done! Appointment created automatically

Step-by-Step

1. Complete a Disposition

After talking to a customer:

  1. Open the property on the Canvass map

  2. Tap to open the property details

  3. Complete a disposition (outcome of your visit)

  4. If the disposition has "Schedule Appointment" enabled, you'll see a prompt

2. Choose Appointment Type

Two options appear: Personal Comeback - Quick follow-up

  • Simple comeback appointment

  • Just you attending

  • Minimal details needed

  • Creates event instantly

Closer Calendar - Schedule with a closer

  • Full closer assignment

  • Shows closer availability

  • Customer needs to be set

  • More details required

3. Personal Comeback Flow

If you select Personal Comeback:

  1. Event created automatically with:

    • Type: Comeback

    • Location: Current property

    • Account: Linked to property

    • Owner: You

  2. That's it! Check your calendar to see it

4. Closer Calendar Flow

If you select Closer Calendar: Step A: Set Resident (if needed)

  • If customer name isn't set, you'll be prompted

  • Add first name, last name, and contact info

  • Tap Continue

  • See list of available closers

  • Green checkmark = Available

  • Red icon = Unavailable

  • Tap a closer to see their calendar

Step C: Pick Time Slot

  • Tap a time slot

  • Event details auto-filled:

    • Date/time from slot

    • Closer as attendee

    • Customer info from property

    • Location from property

Step D: Confirm

  • Review event details

  • Add notes if needed

  • Tap Save

  • Navigate back to map

What Gets Filled Automatically?

When scheduling from a property, the app auto-fills:

  • Title - Customer's name

  • Location - Property address

  • Account - Linked to the property

  • Team - Your current team

  • Owner - You (the setter)

You just need to:

  • Pick the closer

  • Choose the time

Tips for Field Scheduling

Best Practices

  • Complete disposition first - This ensures proper workflow tracking

  • Check closer availability - Don't schedule unavailable closers

  • Add customer info immediately - Name, phone, email

  • Schedule same day if possible - Strike while the iron is hot

Quick Wins

  • Use Personal Comeback for simple follow-ups (faster)

  • Use Closer Calendar when customer is ready to close (better conversion)

  • Add notes about customer preferences or concerns

Common Issues

"Set Resident First"

  • Customer information is required for closer events

  • Tap to add name and contact info

  • Then continue scheduling

"No Closers Available"

  • All closers may be booked at that time

  • Try a different time slot

  • Contact your manager

"Account Required"

  • Property needs an account for closer events

  • Create account first

  • Then schedule appointment

What Happens Next?

After scheduling:

  1. Notification sent - Closer gets notified

  2. Calendar updated - Shows in both calendars

  3. Account updated - Appointment linked to account

  4. You can continue canvassing - Event is saved

To view or edit:

  • Go to Calendar tab

  • Find the event

  • Tap to view/edit details
